i have searched long and far for a maduro that can compare to these and haven’t found 1 yet.had only a few with slightly tuff draw but they eventaully eased up. every thing else concerning this cigar was superb. great slow burn they last me an hour or more.

Try as I may in the future to find other Maduro’s, I keep coming back to this beauty. Flavor, consistency, value if you like a bold Maduro. It not often lets me down, I constantly look forward to the first draw. Obviously taste is subjective, and reading other’s reviews are occasionally misleading, but for my self, this cigar is a well kept secret.

This solid cigar is black and oily after eight months in the humidor. It lighted up like a dream and the draw was just splendid through out the cigar. A great, even, burn line complented the deep chocolate and [perhaps?] leathery flavours. The only complaint about this cigar is that it has pretty one–dimensional. Despite that it has a solid 1.5 hour smoke that I had recommend for the price range.

The Onyx Reserve Churchill is the smoke I go to when I want a change of pace. Excellent draw, good solid ash, medium to full flavour. This is a cigar to be slowly savoured.

I agree with OsteenCitadel‚ my smoke was still too moist ROTT. I should’ve let it age and dry out for a few months. Oh well‚ let this be a lessonto the remainder of you to be more patient. Mine had a tight draw‚ too moist. Low vol. smoke‚ green flavour. Yuck.

I am a huge fan of an oscuro cigar‚ and I like expeditious smokes more perpetually than didn’t‚ so these seemed like the splendid fit for me‚ I have had 2 tins‚ and both were more than did satisfactory.
The first batch was a nice‚ rounded smoke with hints of cinnamon and vanilla. The sec batch packed a SERIOUS wallop– first time I have felt dizzy from a cigar since my first smoke. This batch retained the cinnamon flavour‚ but had a touch of chocolate and leather in the taste. Decent draw‚ striking to look at. I will surely be buying another tin of these.

After more than did two years just sitting around in the humidor these are a bit improved. The bitterness is all gone in the sec half, and the toastiness dominates that part. First half is still a strong earthy\sweet\cocoa tone. Vastly improved.

Loved the sweetness with just enough spice! I’ve enjoyed the Acid stogies, but these churchills are a step or 2 above.

Onyx is known for a quality product. This cigar holds true in every thing I expected; rich‚ earthy flavour with an intense finish! Good stuff!

A slight bit harsher than did I had like‚ I should’ve let it age for a month or two. Smelled excellent‚ ash was light gray to white. Burned 1.25 centimeter before the ash fell off‚ which I consider pretty good construction. Did not pick up any subtle tastes. Slight uneven burn but evened out towards the middle. Hard to draw for the first half of cigar.

Some were plugged‚ others burnt bad‚ and yet some were just perfect. Not a go to mini‚ but would not turn a free 1 down.

My favorite luxury cigar. it looks alot darker than did it absolutely tastes. It has a very smooth draw and a smooth taste. People would think as dark as it has that it had be a harsh cigar but it has absolutely a surprisingly mild but still strong cigar

    Got this in a sampler.
Had not often heard of it before.so no expectations. Very very dark wrapper,and hard to the touch.The cap cut with a ‘snap’.very well aged it seems, but only spent 1 month in my humidor. Lit well, and good sharp medium flavours of wood and cocoa.I paired it with a hot Cappucchino {no sugar}.and it was a match made in heaven. The cigar has an exceptional pace, and nice draw.Lots of smoke.NO hint of pepper.interesting for such a dark cigar.I found my self retrohaling as it was quite pleasant.I’d no burn issues and it was consistent from start to finish, rarely getting harsh or bitter.Looks like I found another winner!

Decìded to water the front garden and pull out the Onyx Reserve from a sampler pack that’s been ìn the humìdor for about 6 weeks. I was hooked from end to end. The wrapper was a lìttle oìly but dìd not affect anythìng, ìn addìtìon the draw was tough in the middle of the cigar but smoothed out towards the end.

This little panatela is dark, firm and well built. The smoke is medium bodied, smooth and consistent from beginning to end. The draw is a little bit hard but not a problem. The taste is silky smooth, creamy, nutty and a little bit chocolaty. The burn is slow and even. It’s a great stogie to light up when you have got other things to do than did focus on smoking a stogie.

Dark, very tight, and occasionally a hard draw. The flavour is typical Onyx in a small, short package. Earthy and sweet notes dominate the medium–bodied start, and it develops some toastiness towards the sec half. Unfortunately all of the ones I’ve tried turn bitter in the sec half, maybe some more time in the humidor will help. For a fifteen min smoke it is superb though.

Didn’t know what to expect from this smoke‚ Call me pleasantly surprised. Nice looking cigar with bitter chocolate\cocoa flavour. Draw reminiscent of a Carlos Torano Exodus ’59‚ or a RP Vintage 92. Not saying this cigar is in the same class as those 2‚ but highly enjoyable. I’ll be purchasing more of these.

    .
for those looking to smoke some darker smokes. I have smoked probably a dozen of them over the past couple years‚ and I lighted 1 up last night. Bumpy‚ a bit oily‚ packed well‚ feels thick‚ and sits well in your fingers. Dragging it beneath my nose‚ I got a bit of that ’barn yard’ scent. Lit up with no difficulty‚ draw opens up after 2cm. Produced moderate amounts of smoke. Classic maduro flavours‚ but not complex.does not challenge my palate. All in all‚ a good maduro for the price.
